Day Eight: Monday 31st July 2012

A coldness seeps, insidious,
Absorbed through the soles of my feet,
Icy tendrils weaving lacework up my carves,
An internal wind gusting upward,
Enclosing my mind in a chilled caress.

Day Seven: Monday 30th July 2012

You’re hand,
Large and Warm
on my belly,
A vision of what could have been.

Day Six: Sunday 29th July 2012

I saw you on the corner
At 2pm,
Standing, hunched
Weighed down by your winter coat,
Black, Bulky

I saw you on the corner
At 2pm

And kept walking.

Day Five: Saturday 28th July 2012

A brief glimpse
Was all I stole
On that sunny day.
Or was it dull, gloomy?
Or was it a dream?
You’re hair was longer,
Reminding me of him,
Now also gone.

Day Three: 26th July 2012

A distant memory,
You pervade my dreams,
Darkness shrouding you,
Haziness hugs your face,
You speak
Words jumbled
I don’t understand you,
Nor ever did

Day One: Tuesday 24th July 2012

It’s dark in that place
I don’t want to go,
…coldness envelopes it,
…fog enshrouds it,
…emptiness inhabits it,
…Loneliness reverberates,
Bouncing off its walls,
…sadness consumes it,
It’s dark in that place
I don’t want to go,

In My Mind.
