Day Seventy Three: 4th October 2012

MOTHER NATURE

If only I could see,
the blazing sun,
casting dancing shadows,
shiny voluptuous greens,
and a sparkling rippled pond surface.
But trapped inside, gloomy,
behind drawn curtains,
I only hear crashing trees,
buffeting winds, treacherous,
strangling the magpie warble,
a cruel joke played by Mother Nature,
on a lamenting mind.
