crystals form on my heart
not the beautiful precious kind
but stark icy cold clumps
ever hardening as winter sets in
exploiting an autumn of stifled emotion.
when will the warming spring arrive
and thaw the frozen rivers of despair?

This is so beautiful! It looks more like a piece of fiber art than handmade paper, but then again, can paper be fiber? And the pastel just adds to the mystery. Do you display your pieces from this ‘Drawing & poem a day’ in your studio? Or do you have them all in book(s) together? Would be great to see a bunch of these together shown somewhere (Like a mini-exhibit of this past year of work.) Very lovely, Dawn!

Thanks Patricia and, yes all the drawings and poems are together is journals… when i began they were to be a resource for developing the drawings further on a larger format, etc… so as I approach the end of the 365 days I am now beginning to think about the next stage…

Oh yes! That will be really exciting. These pieces definitely need to be shown or used for some related project. I think this latest one is just stunning.
