Day Three Hundred and Sixty: 18th July 2013

blue fades to gray
and the blustering wind gusts
swirling Gaia’s flotsam and jetsam
a tumultuous whirlwind
amidst pelting torrential rain

no fluttering of wings today
no melodious chirp
only the elemental ebb and flow of nature’s fury

  1. There is a spot along Highway 41 where there are dead trees burned of all their branches except for a few of the central ones. The only thing that grows under them is a short scrub kind of grass. It’s a very Twilight Zone kind of area. When I seen today’s artwork, it evoked those trees to me.
