Goodbye Mother Earth

though the sun wept bitter tears
the drenched land remained barren

an unfertile thing made by men
laden with forgotten memories
clogged within thick wet dust

the exhaust fumes of yester-years progress
pathing the burden of tomorrows treachery

and the strangling death of Mother Earth

Fearful Symmetry

porcelain dreams, transparent
possibly fragile, shallow
pausing on the brink
perpetual sanity, vanishing
plausible ideas, imaginary
pleading desperate falls heavy
plodding on empty ears
pleasure a constant manacle
pain a forgotten memory
prickling nerves now alive
producing persistent panic

Week One: 30th July 2013

agony contorts a tired body
bemusement reflecting jaded eyes
camouflaging torturous pangs

despair takes over
eventually consuming all thought
frivolous ideas abandoned
gargantuan tasks forgotten

happiness a distant tempter
indiscriminately beckoning
judging past rights as wrongs
kaleidoscopes turning and changing

laughter sniggering in the corner
melting the spoken word
never-ending monotony lingers

only dreams contain answers
possibly even solutions
quitting this world may help

resistance seems futile
struggling for automatic responses
treachery surrounds the migrating soul
undermining logic and reason
validating resident devilry
while forever evicting hope

xanadu no more
yearning a perpetual state
zen silence for my soul

Day Three Hundred and Fifty Three: 11th July 2013

a musical conversation
emerging from the treetops
wafting sing-song
lyrical melodies airbourne
bursting with elequant courtship
a warbling serenade

Day Three Hundred and Forty: 28th June 2013

it was strangely

calming

huddled in a bare

corner

staring at three

lines

intersecting

soothing an abondoned

soul

floating

aimlessly beside me

external

an entity

longingly waiting

till safe

to come back
