Forgotten Epiphany

endless carriages of eager faces
wondrous at a surreal landscape
stare in vain longing for revelation

huge rocks-strange colours-alien textures
jutting from undulating cool waters
whispering unknown magical powers

some plunge into white tipped waves
swimming with strange mystical creatures
others wait hesitantly on the stoney shore

I sit upon the sand patiently
waiting for the single inspiration
a vision washing over me

and I feel the sensation arrive
clarity splashing and tingling
I absorb the cleansing euphoria

but tell no-one they say
because you can’t come back
no-one knows how to get here

so drink from the river of forgetfulness
and remember us not

Gone Forever…

pushing you away
I screamed
“follow the light”

you’re face confused
loomed above

“you’re dead”
I screamed

eyes begging
you looked upon me

“you can see a light can’t you?”

head raised you looked upward
and I watched your body spiral upward

gone forever
in peace
I hope

never to enter
another dream

A Love Poem

the earth was flat
when first we met
under cloak of dark
and forbidden passion grew
tainted by jealous eyes

so we jumped from the earth’s edge

holding hands in desperation
so as to awake together
unfetid in the next life

many long centuries pass
and the cliff still stands
but the earth now round
a never-ending spinning orb

like our love
