Tomorrow

dark swirls of noiseless wind
tug endlessly
tall ageless trees
branches strung out
silhouetting the night sky
vulnerable
defenceless
against mother nature’s savage breath
slowly ravaging
time lumbers obliviously
till virgin glints of sunlight
cut a crevice in the earth
a black hole sucking life from the tempest
and spewing forth another eulogy of despair

SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) *

cold rain
icicles dagger like
prickling my skin
piercing my veins
an endless trauma
enveloping my heart
saturating my soul
a merciless scourge
winter torment

Nature

once a gentle breeze
a ravaging wind
announced its arrival

a low rumble boring down
roaring across a sublime landscape
now broken and torn

hungry after hours of travel
chewing up trees
spitting them out

an appetite unsated
an anger unsatisfied
pink flesh uneaten

Day Three Hundred and Sixty: 18th July 2013

blue fades to gray
and the blustering wind gusts
swirling Gaia’s flotsam and jetsam
a tumultuous whirlwind
amidst pelting torrential rain

no fluttering of wings today
no melodious chirp
only the elemental ebb and flow of nature’s fury

Day One Hundred and Twenty Nine: 29th November 2012

Voluptuous clouds, grey
Heavily swollen, pregnant
Nurturing the tempest within,
Swirling and expanding,
Invisible virtues illuminating,
A mysterious sky,
And we wait…anticipating.

UNSEASONABLY HOT

When I saw you
the other day,
The sun was blazing
unseasonably hot,
And you were smiling,
A surprise to me,
considering…
